Interview: NHK’Koyxeи

You have several projects to your name, and your performance at Tusk Festival has been credited to your NHK’Koyxeи pseudonym. Are we right to expect a set in the style of your recent Dance Classics Vol.I release on PAN?

Don’t decide what should i do for, but maybe some part. How many minutes I gonna perform?

Why did you decide to set up a project specifically for your work on PAN?

Because its having happy lucky top sense local respectable coincidence feeling.

You’ve worked with the likes of Sensational, Asmus Tietchens, Merzbow, Sean Booth and Mika Vainio. How easy do you find the experience of collaborating with other people?

Internet, maybe..

Is it easy to switch your approach to accommodate different collaborators? For example, is a different mentality required to work with Merzbow to the mentality applied working with Sensational?

Yes.

How does the composition process work for NHK’Koyxeи?

Computer and Compact pedals.

Do you approach composition in different ways, depending on the project?

Would like to make it so, but too many alias is hell. But I did it so…and I’m confusing..

You’re an incredibly prolific musician, and have previously stated that you can often produce up to five tracks a day. Why does this speed of working appeal to you?

Quickly deciding,.

What music are you listening to at the moment?

Quiet often Morton Feldman..

Aside from your appearance at Tusk festival, what’s next for yourself and your music?
